Filename & Location

Once the film has finished sound, edit, colour grading, credits, graphics, and subtitles and everything has been put together, you need to export multiple versions of the film.

Export Location

The location for exports is the network drive called Exports. On the editing workstations it'll be mounted as the X: drive.

Spring films must be exported to the Spring Fiction folder. In that folder, you create a folder named as follows: CREW ID_FilmTitle. For example A1-2_WeNeedToExport.

Documentary films must be exported to the Spring Documentaries folder. In this folder, you create a folder named the title of your film. Write DOC followed by your production number as CREW ID if it’s a documentary. Include all three digits. For example DOC002_MyDocumentary.

Personal projects and Weekend projects must be exported to the Personal Projects folder. Write PP as CREW ID in the filename.

The filename of the exports should follow this naming convention:

CREW ID _ FilmTitle _ Video codec _ Subs _ Sound layout _ YourName

Video codec Subtitles Sound layout
DNxHR-HQX Write Subs if the export has subtitles burned in. 5.1 surround: 51
DNxHR-HQ If external or none, don't write anything. Stereo: 20
H265
H264

For example:

A1-2 _ WeNeedToExport _ DNxHR-HQX _ Subs _ 51 _ JohannesFarmerKnudsen

NOTE

Don't use any spaces between letters in the filename.
